Curry Wilson, of B. Jackson Construction and Engineering, has been selected by his peers to receive the prestigious Utility Project Manager of the Year from the AGC of Utah. As the 5th generation of his family to be involved in the construction industry, one could say that Curry Wilson was born to become an exceptional Utility Project Manager. Curry has managed numerous complex and large scale projects as a Utility Project Manager and key member of the B. Jackson Construction team dating back to when he began his career with the company almost 17-years ago, in February 1998.
Some of the more recent and notable projects Curry has led for B. Jackson Construction include:
- Layton I-15 Pre-cast Concrete Pavement Panel Replacement using the Fort Miller Technique (1st job in the State of Utah). Project Owner UDOT. Project Value $3.3 million.
- State Street 9000 South to 10600 South Joint Utility Project. Project Owner UDOT. Project Value $1.8 million.
- Federal Aviation Administration Salt Lake City International Airport Power Upgrade. Project Owner FAA. Project Value $1.6 million.
- SR-154 Redwood Road Interchange Utility Project. Project Owner UDOT. Project Value $1.4 million.
Prior to joining B. Jackson Construction, Curry, worked as an Owner/Operator with his Father at C.W. Wilson Construction in Roosevelt, UT. C.W. Wilson completed many large gas/oil pipeline construction projects. Curry also briefly worked for Royal Utilities out of Sacramento, California.
Curry has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Avionics Engineering and he also has a degree in Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics. Curry and his wife, Jodi, live in the Riverton area and are the proud parents to one son. In his spare time, Curry enjoys boating and off-roading with his family and friends.
